The 2026 Workplace Fire Safety Checklist

Since you are planning your safety strategy for the year, we have compiled a "2026 Readiness Checklist" based on the most common compliance gaps. Use this to audit your facility this week.

1. Equipment Readiness

  • Extinguisher Expiration: Check the manufacturer's date and last service tag on all units. Do the gauges show green?
  • Hose Reels & Hydrants: Are they accessible, or blocked by office clutter?
  • Simulator Status: Check the gas cylinder for sufficient gas before the fire drill.

2. Physical Environment

  • The "Invisible" Blockages: Walk your escape routes. Are boxes, plants, or temporary storage blocking the path? (Remember: "Fire Lanes = Life Lanes").
  • Hidden Hazards: Check under desks for overloaded power strips and frayed cables—the leading cause of "office combustion".
  • Signage: Are exit signs illuminated and visible from every desk?

3. Human Competence (The Crucial Check)

  • The "Last Drill" Date: Has it been more than 12 months since your staff physically handled an extinguisher?
  • New Hires: Have staff who joined in late 2025 received practical training, or just the employee handbook?
  • Role Clarity: Does everyone know who calls the fire brigade and who sweeps the floor?

Don't Guess. Know.

A checklist gets you compliant. Muscle memory gets you safe.

This year, don't just "prep for the drill." Prep for the reality. If you want to see how affordable and easy it is to bring modular live fire training to your facility, we are here to help.
